RECTAL ROCKET – A NEW SUPPOSITORY FOR HEMORRHOIDS

The “rectal rocket” is a special suppository design for treating hemorrhoids.  It is better than traditional suppositories in four ways:

1. It does not get lost in the rectum but remains at the point of insertion throughout absorption.

HOW DOES THE RECTAL ROCKET WORK?

The rectal rocket features a countoured head and a flared bottom. The benefit of the design is two-fold. The overall shape of the suppository allows it to remain at the point of insertion throughout absorption without lapsing into the rectum. The flared bottom remains in continual contact with the anal sphincter and the external perianal area, allowing it to treat external hemorrhoids as well as internal. Finally, there is a slit running the length of the suppository that allows the patient to pass gas without losing the suppository.
