Hi! I’m Hunter, one of the compounding technicians. Although I am relatively new to Belew Drug, I’ve been compounding for seven years.I like that compounding is detail-oriented and constantly providing new challenges. Because every compound is tailored to an individual patient, there’s no room for boredom.My favorite compounds to make are suspensions. Crushing tablets into powder and then mixing in liquids is very soothing.I also love when I get to meet the animal patients that I’ve been making medicines for. It doesn’t happen often, but occasionally we’ll get pictures or even visits from a pet that we’ve been compounding for, and it makes my day.Working for Belew Drug has been great. They care about me as an employee and let me express myself as an individual rather than just serving as another cog in the corporate machine. They also set clear expectations and are very eager to celebrate you when you succeed.As always, we're available in the lab Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm.
